The Covid-19 virus has been credited for a large increase in gun purchases and a lot of those purchases are said to be by people who have never owned a gun before. Two First Firearms training is here for any new OR prospective gun owner curious about the laws regarding firearm ownership, storage or transport or just have some questions about their recent or future purchase. We will provide you a free one-on one 15 - 20 minute zoom meeting where the floor is yours. Proof of new gun ownership is NOT required as we want to help those just thinking about a gun purchase to have a forum to ask questions
Concealed Carry Certification Course
We seem to be heading slowly out of the shelter in place orders and retail stores, restaurants and gun ranges are opening up. Now is the time to start the education and training process for your CCW permit.

Classes are limited to three students per instructor at this time and the classroom portion of the class can be done via zoom, online. (see pricing below)
Please note that different Counties in California require a different number of hours training and range qualifications also vary by County. As such, the length of classes will vary as will time on the range.
Basic Pistol Course
For first time gun owners and experienced gun owners alike, the basic Pistol Course is an approximately 8 hour class that upon completion the successful student will know and be able to demonstrate proper gun safety handling rules, proper operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, ammunition knowledge and selection, pistol selection and storage, shooting fundamentals, pistol inspection and maintenance, marksmanship, and shooting range safety. This class is great for those who are considering buying a pistol or those who have just purchased a pistol and want to obtain and demonstrate the proper knowledge, skill and attitude for responsible gun ownership. This class is also perfect for the partner of an experienced pistol owner who may be more comfortable in learning from someone other than their partner. The Basic Pistol course also provides an opportunity to learn how to properly shoot a pistol. The successful completion of the entire course, including the "qualifying shoot" will earn you an NRA certification in The basics of Pistol shooting. It is a great class to take if your eventual goal is to obtain a Concealed Carry license. Refuse to be a victim courses
This is a no firearm/non-shooting training and safety awareness seminar that teaches the tips and techniques needed to be alerted to dangerous situations and to avoid criminal confrontation. This course is open to individuals of all ages and does NOT require knowledge of firearms. Thousands of federal, state and local law enforcement officials and civilians from across the nation utilize this popular program in their crime prevention and community policing initiatives to help protect their communities. Hi, I am John McFadden, your instructor. I am proud to say that my formal firearms training experience comes from one of the oldest and most recognized firearms organizations, The National Rifle Association ("NRA") but now also from one of the best companies in the self defense liability insurance industry, The United States Concealed Carry Association ("USCCA"). I have instructor certifications in the NRA Basic Pistol, Concealed Carry and Refuse to be Victim instructor programs. I am also an NRA Certified Range Safety officer. Finally, I have also been certified by the USCCA as an instructor in Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals.
Prior to my formal training, my experience with firearms is the same as that available to the general public but developed over the last 40+ years. Beginning with the NRA hunter safety program at 12 years old, I became well versed in the common use of firearms for hunting and recreational target, skeet and trap shooting and as a small bore rifle competitor.
I have the rather unique experience of being a Civil Trial Attorney with 26 years experience defending people who have been accused of negligence in a myriad of circumstances including the defense of people for their alleged negligence in the use and/or handing of firearms.
I look forward to the opportunity to help those new to firearms to overcome any fear or trepidation in the safe use and proficiency in shooting and to help those with experience to become safer and/or more proficient.
I also encourage those who want to develop a personal safety strategy to be alerted to dangerous situations and to avoid criminal confrontations without the use or personal concealed carry of firearms through the Refuse To Be a Victim® program.

Our training classrooms are no ammunition zones and we teach and exercise at all times the 3 basic firearm safety rules:
1) Always point a firearm in a SAFE DIRECTION
2) Always keep your FINGER OFF the trigger until ready to shoot.
3) Always keep a firearm UNLOADED until it is ready to use.
